Donald R. Loy Sr.

Donald Robert Loy Sr., 78 of Moundsville, W.Va., passed away Monday June 5, 2017 at Liza's Place, Wheeling. He was born September 7, 1938 in New Martinsville, W.Va.,

son of the late Clarence and Sevilla Wines Loy. He retired from Benwood Limestone Plant and was a U.S. Army Reserve Veteran. Donald was a member of the American Legion Post #3 of Moundsville, an conducted countless funerals for the Moundville Honor Guard which he cherished very much. Preceded in death by three brothers Jack, Cecil, and Harold, five sisters; Garnet Rush, Virginia Butcher, Rosemary Tennant, Ruby Brown, and Helen Woods. Donald is survived by his wife Sandra Jennings Loy, two daughters; Trina Wells of Moundsville, and Cynthia (Jim) Hindman of Bellaire, Ohio, one son; Donald (Sherry) Loy Jr. of Moundsville, W.Va., one brother Eugene Loy of Dallas, Texas, two sisters; Betty Warrens of Canten, Texas and Shirley Lyles of Dallas, Texas, five grandaughters, and one great-grandaughter. Family will receive friends Wednesday June 7, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at 1:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services 1109 2nd St. Moundsville, W.Va. with Pastor James Jennings officiating. Burial at Craig's Chapel Cemetery, New Martinsville, W.Va. Moundsville Honor Guard will conduct graveside services.
