Betty Riggs

Betty Stephens Riggs, 98 of Moundsville, W.V. passed away Sunday December 2, 2018 formerly of Cameron, W.V. She was born February 27, 1920 in Mannington, W.V. daughter of the late Claude and Jessie Shaw Stephens. Betty graduated from Cameron High School in 1938 and also from Penn Commercial College in Washington, Pa. She retired from Elie Glass Company. A member of the Cameron Baptist Church. A member of the former Sunbeam Rebecca Lodge #127 of Cameron and also a member of the Cameron Senior Citizens where she served as president for many years. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward Riggs in 1983, one sister Pauline McCoy and one brother Claude Robert Stephens. Survived by three nieces Cyndy (Ivan) Antill of Glen Dale, W.V. JoAnne Hartzell of Cameron, W.V. and Teresa McGregor of Burbank, California; two nephews, Claude (Cheryl) Stephens and Edward (Chris) Stephens all of Glen Dale W.V. and some great-nieces and nephews.. Family will receive friends Tuesday December 4, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 1109 2nd St. Moundsville, W.V. where services will be held Wednesday December 5, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. with brother Chuck Mathews officiating.
