Barbara Suarez

Barbara Lynn ( Newell) Suarez 74, of Cameron, W.V. passed away Tuesday July 23, 2019. Barb was born July 15, 1945 in Glen Dale, W.V. daughter of the late Robert & Mary (Stewart) Newell. She was a member of the Fork Ridge Christian Church. Barbara started her career as a dispatcher at the Cameron Police Dept. she continued that career at the Marshall County 911 and retired from the Marshall County Tax Office after 30+ years of service. She was the first woman to join the Cameron Fire Dept. and also the EMT Squad for many years. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother, grandmother and Nanny Barbie. Preceded in death by her son, Scott Suarez, and one grandson Camden Suarez. Survived by her husband Robert Suarez, children, Lynn (Roger) Simmons, of Moundsville, Cher (Jeff) Allen of Cameron, Twila (Brian) Ford of of Heiskell, Tenn, Micah, (Tara) Hoffman, Mark (Lori) Suarez and Robby Suarez all of Cameron, W.V. two step children, Deidre (Frank) Henderson and Bobby Suarez of Cameron, 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends Friday July 26, 2019 at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 1109 2nd St. from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
