E. Roger Francis

E. Roger Francis 83, of Moundsville, W.Va. passed away Monday April 27, 2020 at home. Roger was born April 12, 1937 in Pleasant Valley, W.Va. at home son of the late Elmer B. and Virginia Junkins Francis. A member of the Moundsville First Christian Church - Trustee Emeritus. Retired from Columbian Chemical Company. A member of the National Pike Knife Club of W.Va. and Wheeling Elks Lodge #28 for 50 years. A member of the Army National Guard of W.Va, where he served from 1960-1966 also served actice duty at Ft. Meade during the Berlin Crisis. Survived by his wife, Margaret Betz Francis, one son, Darren (Lisa) Francis of Poco, W.Va.; four sisters, Carolyn (Bob) Roberts, Betty Carney, Joyce (Byron) Simmons, Connie (Mike) Richmond, two grandsons, Austin R. Francis and Alex M. Francis and several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church 1200 Third St. Moundsville W.Va. 26041 A private family services will be held at the convenience of the family.
