In the process, they built two facilities. During the same time he restarted Ryerson South Wheeling Baptist Church. Most recently Ron served for the last two and a half years as Director of Missions for the Upper Ohio Valley Baptist Association, and was elected President of the West Virginia Convention of Southern Baptist in 2015 and again in 2016. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Sandra "Sandy" Bonar McCoy;
a son Brian (Madonna) McCoy of Phoenix, Arizona; one daughter LeeAnn (Mike) Dobbs, and one sister Carolyn Sue Daugherty of Moundsville, one sister-in-law Paulette "Polly" Warmuth,; five grandchildren Joshua, Jonathan, Nathan McCoy,
and Kelsey (CJ) Drake and Craig Dobbs, and two great-grandaughters Kayleigh and Kylie Drake and some nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cameron Baptist Church RD#5 A Box 521 Cameron, W.Va 26033 or a charity of their choice. Family will receive friends Sunday December 11, 2016 at the Cameron Baptist Church from 1-3 p.m. and also at the Grisell Funeral Home 400 Jefferson Ave. Moundsville, W.Va from 6-8 p.m. where services will be held Monday December 12th 2016 at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Brian McCoy officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery with the Moundsville Veteran Honor Guard conducting Military Honors. Arrangements by Anderson Funeral Homes & Grisell Funeral Homes.
