So sorry to hear about Bill (my Moundsville cousin). My father was raised by Bill's and my father's aunt. As far back as i can remember I always heard references to OLD Bill and young Bill when the family talked about Bill and his father. I'm glad I got to know Bill later in life and proud of what he did to keep the Moundsville Legion baseball program alive through the years. My thoughts go out to all of his family and friends. I’m saddened to hear of Bill’s passing. Bill answered the call and honorably served our Country and provided the “ Blanket of Freedom” that each and every one of us and are families sleep under each and every night. And dedicated his life to honor and look out for our Veterans. There is no higher honor in a lifetime. May he enter God’s kingdom and hear the words… Well done faithful servant! May his family be cloaked in God’s comfort and care.

At a Boys of Summer event, Bill told me to go in and pitch and threw me a ball that the cover was flapping when it was caught. Bill had a sense of humor and was a good friend. John Moore
