Barbara Lynn (Wright) Anderson

 

Barbara Lynn Wright Anderson 83, of Moundsville, W.V. passed away Thursday June 4, 2026 at Reynolds Memorial Hospital.  She was born June 28, 1942, in Glen Easton, W.V. daughter of the late William & Hilda Wilson Wright.

She was a member of the Harvest Baptist Church of Moundsville.  Barbara was a woman whose hands were always creating something beautiful. Whether she was baking amazing treats for the Glen Easton Reunion or careful piecing together a quilt or crocheting a cozy blanket and she was famous for her beautiful doilies, over all she just loved spending time with her family and friends.  Preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard Anderson Sr., one brother Charlie Wright, two sons, Jeffrey Wright Sr. and Richard Anderson Jr. one grandson Andrew, sisters-in law, Vera Barrett, Janelle McLaughlin, Phyllis Anderson and Carol Anderson.

Survived by one daughter Joyce Howard, son, Gary Anderson, two sisters, Sigrid Yates, Sammie (Lloyd) Dean, two brothers, William "Butch" (Carol) Wright & Steve Wright, and one sister-in-law, Joann Wright of Moundsville, W.V. numerous grandchildren,  and one great grandchild on the way, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousin and her beloved doggie, Serena.

Family will receive friends Sunday June 7, 2026, from 5-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 1109 2nd St. Moundsville, W.V. where services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Larry Jenkins officiating.  Burial in Universalist Church Cemetery on Fork Ridge.
