Denzil Stanley

Denzil Harvey Stanley, aged 92, of Moundsville, passed away on June 28, 2026 in his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his loving wife of 66 years, Margaret “Peggy” Stanley, an infant son, daughter Teresa “Terri” Brisco, granddaughter Jessie Marie Brisco and siblings Robert Stanley, William Stanley, Andrea “Dolly” Richey, Judith Lee McGary, David B. Stanley and Shirley Kay Hinerman.


Left to honor his memory are two sons, Stephen (Julie) Stanley and David (Tammy) Stanley, sisters Betty Jo Kidd and Mary (Louis) Gump, grandchildren Andy (Julie) Brisco, Amber (William) Tallman, Trent (Kristi), Brandon, Matthew (Shian) and Hunter Stanley, together with a blessed number of great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mr. Stanley proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and was a Gunner on the B52 bomber. Stateside, he retired after a career at Allied Chemical plant. Whether you knew him by Denzil, Stan, Dad or Pap, Mr. Stanley had a deep love for all of his family and talents and interests in paintings, pastels, wood carvings and all outdoor sports including hunting and four wheeling and always a die-hard fan of the Mountaineers, Pirates and Steelers.


A private graveside service will be held at Riverview Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements By Anderson Funeral Home 1109 2nd St. Moundsville, W.V. The Moundsville Veteran Honor Guard will conduct Military Honors.
