William Richard "Dick" Howard

William Richard Howard, 98, of Moundsville, W.Va., passed away peacefully on Sunday June 4, 2017 at WVU/Reynolds Memorial Hospital. He was born April 6, 1919

in Cameron, W.Va., he was the last surviving child of the late Lee and Stella Howard.

A Veteran of the US Navy and served during WWll He retired as a Navy Chief after 25 years of service, also retired from Mobay Chemical in New Martinsville, W.V. with 25 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy Renner Howard, three sisters, Betty Hinerman, Ruth Davis, and Dorothy Daugherty. Survived by his son, Tracy and wife, Mary Kathryn of Hampton, Va. Family will receive friends Friday June 9, 2017 from noon until time of services at 1:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1109 2nd St. Moundsville where the Moundsville Honor Guard will conduct military honors.
