Margelee Anderson

Margelee Stewart Anderson 87, of Cameron, W.V. passed away Saturday January 26, 2019 in Pittsburgh Hospital. She was born October 20, 1931, in Sanford, N.C. daughter of the late A.H. and Myrtle Davis Stewart. She was a graduate of Boone Trail High School, N.C. A graduate of Meredith College in Raleigh, N.C. in 1954 with an English Degree, and obtained her Masters Degree at WVU in. She was raised a southern baptist and became a member of the First Christian Church of Cameron, W.V. Marge taught some at the university as part of her internship, also taught at Clay-Batelle High School. Marge and her husband Charles then founded Anderson Funeral Home in 1960 where she began her latter teaching career of 20 years as a senior English teacher. She was credited for starting the homecoming floats where by each class would build a float and compete for the most outstanding. She aslo began the Thespians, a drams class at Cameron High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Anderson, one sister Elsie and her husband Clarence "C.P." Stewart, brother-in-law Tom Adams, one sister-in-law Rose Ward of Weirton, W.V. and sister & brother-n-law Junior and Joy Anderson of Cameron, W.V. Survived by her children John Anderson and Brent Anderson both of Berkeley Springs, W.V. Dr. Charla Anderson of Bethlehem, W.V. and Jeffrey Stewart (Debby) Anderson of Moundsville, W.V. ; one sister Hazel Adams, of N.C. and one brother Charles (Nancy) Stewart of Michigan; seven grandchildren, Jan Tom, Craig Anderson, Shelby Anderson, Michelle Stephenson, Zachary Anderson, Brittany Benson and Luke Anderson, and seven great-grandchildren, Parker, Jillian, Delia, Mallory, Kasin and Fletcher and some nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Wednesday January 30, 2019 at the Anderson Funeral Home 1109 2nd St. from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. and from 5-7 p.m. and on Thursday at the Cameron Funeral Home 39 Maple Ave. Cameron from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Kenny Hardway officiating. Interment at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions nay be made the First Christian Disciples of Christ at the donors choice. Please scroll down to leave a memory of Margelee.
