Robert Lucas

Robert "Bob" Dean Lucas 70, of Moundsville, W.V. passed away Thursday May 14, 2020 Bob was a graduate of Moundsville High School where he was a stand out basketball player. Retired from Bayer Corperation. Bob enjoyed his free time fishing, camping and boating. He was a avid sports fan. Throughout the years, you could often find him cheering on his favorite athletes. Bob also had a soft spot for his favorite lap dog, Opie. He was a loving husband and devoted father. He cherished spending time with his family, both near and far and would travel several hours to visit them. Bob was a long time member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Moundville, W.V. Preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Mary Belle Lucas; daughter Amy Lucas grandson, Austin Lucas and nephew, Joe Blake. Survived by his wife Darla (Chamberlain) Lucas; daughters,Alison (Bernie) Stanley and Carly (Cody) McElhaney; grandchildren Madeline and Luke Stanley and Olivai McElhaney; sister Cindy Blake; sister-in-law Diane Suddath; brother-in-laws Don Chamberlain and Gregg (Cindy) Chamberlain; nieces Brooke Chamberlain, Christy (Matt) Benner, Jennifer (Bobby) Ryan, Erica (Brian) Putnam and Cathy Blake; nephews, Garrett (Lori) Suddath and Steve Blake and several great nieces and nephews. There will be no services at Bob's request. A private celebration of life will be held a the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
