Carrol Fox

Floyd Carrol Fox, 76, of West Finley, PA; went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 3, 2022, at home, with his loving wife by his side. He was born in Littleton, Wetzel Co., WV on September 3, 1945 son of the late Ira and Clara Burris Fox. He was a Christian by faith, a 1963 graduate of West Greene High School and he was a Vietnam Veteran of the US Army, serving from January, 1964 to January, 1967. He was awarded a Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and an Army Commendation Medal for Heroism. He retired in 2013 from Joy Global (n/k/a Komatsu Mining Corp), located in Houston, PA. While his health permitted, Carrol loved to golf; and he was one of the Steelers biggest fans. Preceded in death by his parents, his son, Mark Anthony Fox, 2 sisters, Virginia Weber and Louise Briggs, 4 brothers, Charles, Kermit, Robert and Don. Survived by his wife of over 41 years, Alice Pettit Fox, sisters and brother-in-law, Peg Fox of Cameron, WV, Virginia Fox of Akron, OH; and Ruby and Ronnie Hoffman of Glen Easton, WV; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. At Carrol’s request, there will be no visitation. A graveside service only will be held at the convenience of the family.
