Charlie "Buster" Works

Charles S (Buster) Works passed away May 15, 2021 with family by his side. Charles was a loving father of 3 children-Malenda Kolmerten (Keith), Ruth (Sissy) Cronin (Rick) and Charles (Buss) Works. He had 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren who thought their pap was the coolest. He was born in Wheeling WV on June 22nd, 1943. In his earlier days, Buster had a passion for coaching little league. He put his heart and soul into it, winning many championship titles. He coached baseball, basketball, and football. He also enjoyed playing basketball in an adult league. He was an avid fan of WVU and attended many games. He was a regular at Jamboree in the Hills. Buster was the life of the party and was quite the dancer, cuttin’ the rug any chance he got. He worked for the city of Moundsville for 22 years before retiring. He was preceded in death by his father Charles and mother Ruth and a brother, Bobby. He is survived by a brother Charlie, and two sisters Rozan and Shannon. Visitation will be held Wednesday May 19, 2021 from 2:30-4 & 6:30-8 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 1109 2nd St. Moundsville where services will be held Thursday May 20, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Sherrie Mehaffie officiating.
