Evelyn Lillian (Evans) Phillippi 96, of Cameron, W.V. passed away Wednesday January 4, 2026. peacefully with her loving family by herside. She was born December 18, 1929, in Cameron, W.V. daughter of the late Willard and Jenny Blake Evans.
Evelyn was a mom, aunt, sister, cousin and grandma, great-grandma and great-great grandma. Evelyn leaves behind a legacy of strength that was forged during the great depression and refined by decades of hard work and love. She was a true matriarch - not just of her family, but of her community. Having known lean times, she lived with immense gratitude proving that a life built on grit, kindness and unwavering faith can span generations, To know her was to be loved by her, as she effortlessly adopted everyone she met into her heart acting as a "Grandma to All" she carried a special place in her heart for Shan-Clarice Cumpston. She was a member of the Cameron First Presbyterian Church. Evelyn was a very dedicated worker for many years at the former Buckheimer's and H&H Market in Cameron, W.V. A member of the Cameron Senior Center. She loved crocheting, gardening, cooking, baking and loved hummingbirds and so much more she truly enjoyed life.
Preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Arthur Anderson and Joseph Allen Phillippi, two baby brothers, Billy James, Teddy Evans, sister, Mary Loschivo, brother, Ronnie Evans and daughter, Janet Izard and her husband Ralph. Survived by two daughters, Karen (Ray) Cappone of Wheeling, W.V. and Christy (Jim) Rogers; one brother, Williard Jr. Evans all of Cameron, W.V. grandchildren, Mark (Molly) Cappone, Beth (Thomas) Roell, Martha Izard, and Hattie (Pete) DeBolt, great-grandchildren, Haley Cappone, Cameron Cappone, Sydni Haney, Evan Roell, Cheyenne DeBolt, Samantha (Kayleb) Band, great-great-grandchildren, Thomas Haney, Solomon Haney, Penny Band and Lilah Band, arriving in March. and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family will receive friends Thursday February 12, 2026, from 4-7 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 4093 Dragon Hwy Cameron, W.V. where services will be held Friday February 13, 2026 from 11:30 till time of services at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Michael & Kandy Dunn officiating. Interment in Highland Cemetery, Cameron, W.V. Family would like to tank Cameron Health Care for all their love an compassion during the stay of their beloved Evelyn.
