James Wendt

James Edward Wendt 69, of Glen Easton, W.V. passed away Wednesday October 5, 2022 at home. James was the son of the late George and Willa Hubbs Wendt. Jim was a retired Insurance Agent for American General Life. A graduate of Davis & Elkins College and was a member of the Basketball team. Preceded in death by son, Drew Wendt, sister, Fay Sands, In-laws, Bob & Nancy Knight, brothers-in-law, John Paul McClellan & Bill Knight, sister-in-law, Becky Braden. Survived by his wife of 44 years, Deborah Knight Wendt, son, Logan (Brittany) Wendt and dearly loved grandsons, Braylen "Brays" and Landry "Landers" all of Glen Easton, WV; sisters, Donna McClellan of Cameron, WV; and Carol Myers of McMechen, WV; brother, Ronnie "Hootie" (Donnie) Wendt of Florida, brother-in-law, David Knight of Philadelphia Pa; and some nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial gathering will be held Sunday October 9th, 2022 for family and friends at the Cameron American Legion Annex Building from 2-4 p.m. with a service at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor John Keener officiating, with a bereavement dinner to follow.
