Jean Chaplin



 

Jean Edwinna Chaplin 82 passed away Friday June 21, 2024. She was born August 17, 1941, daughter of the late John and Mary Richey Neehouse. She was a homemaker, gardener, seamstress and a farmer.  Jean delivered the Wheeling New Register for 25 years.  Preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Merle Chaplin, brothers, Ralph and Dean Neehouse. and a niece, Pat (Marty) Crum. Survived by her children, Sharon Triplett of Cambridge, Ohio; Randy Chaplin of Moundsville, W.V. and Betty (Smoke) Jochum of Sistersville, W. V. with whom she resided with; sisters, Linda Neehouse, Ellen (Carl) Eller, brother, Ray (Mary) Neehouse, sisters-in-law, Silvia Neehouse, Phyllis Bogevitt, Barbara O'brien, Martha Sego, Ella Bea Chaplin and brother-in-law James Chaplin; grandchildren, Jeni (Jared) Goddard, Desiree Triplett, Sara (Jeremy) Jasenec, Tara (Owen) Barr, Mark Jochum and Laura (Joe) Goudy; great-grandchildren Hailey, Liam, Layla and Maelynn Jakob and Kaiden and many nieces and nephews. Family would like to thank Journey Hospice, Kourey, Kim and Tianna and all staff members with all the excellent Supportive care. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association or donors' choice in memory of Jean. Visitation Tuesday June 25, 2024, from 2 p.m. until time of services at 3 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 1109 2nd St. Moundsville, W.V.  with Pastor Rodney Hubbs officiating. Interment Salem Church of Christ Cemetery.
