Martin Fonner

Martin Douglas Fonner Jr. 76, of Moundsville, W.V. passed away Sunday December 21, 2025, at Liza's Place. Martin was born November 14, 1949, in Wheeling, W.V. son of the late Dora (Beabout) & Martin Fonner Sr.

A member of the Pleasant Valley Church.  Martin retired with 25 years each UMWA & the Army Reserve with 50 years of combined service. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and pap, he enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with his family, grandkids and his dog, "Stagger". 

Survived by his loving wife Sarah Mae Williams Fonner with 56 years of marriage, three sons, Martin "Marty" (Jessica) Fonner of Lansing, Oh., Rod (Carrie) Fonner and Travis (Stacey) Fonner all of Moundsville, W.V. one sister, Donna Fonner (John McCave) of Valley Grove, W.V. and one brother Dave (Sharon) Fonner of Wheeling, W.V. grandchildren, Cody Fonner, Cheyenne (Louis) Clay, Halie Fonner, and Montana Fonner; three great-grandchildren, Zoey, Ava, Monte, and numerous sister & brother in-laws, and cousins.

The interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 1109 2nd St. Moundsville, W.V.
