Richard James Yoho, 33, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, at OSU Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family.

Richard was a devoted son, father, brother, uncle, and friend whose kindness, strength, and unwavering love touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. Born on March 24, 1992, Richard grew into a man whose greatest joy and purpose in life was his family. A father first and foremost, he treasured every moment with his children, Bentley, Olivia, Renleigh, and Raelah, as well as his bonus son Ryden, all of whom he loved dearly. His love and dedication to his children were unmatched, and his legacy will forever live on in their hearts. Richard worked as a foreman in the coal mine for 14 years, a profession he loved deeply and approached with determination and pride. His strong work ethic, loyalty, and camaraderie with his fellow miners reflected his character.

Richard was preceded in death by his Grandmother Susan Gunto, Grandmother Judy Yoho, Grandfather Louis Corvino Sr, Grandfather Clarence Yoho, Uncle Louis Corvino Jr., and sister Amanda Och. He is survived by his parents Wende (Jack) Lightner and Rick (Carla) Yoho; his four children and bonus son; his sisters Jessica, McKenna, Marissa, and Ashly; his brothers David and Erick; his nieces and nephews Daniel, Emaleigh, Ally, Gavin, Blake, Marianah, Ava, Ace, Slaton, Jahzeel, and Joey; his Grandmother Judy Kerwood; his Aunt Angela Griffin; his three cousins Michael, Sean, and Jacob with whom he shared a special bond; and many other cousins, extended family members, and dear friends. Richard’s presence brought light, laughter, and comfort to those around him. His absence leaves an unfillable void, but his love will remain a guiding force in the lives of all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard's memory to any charity supporting heart patients and cardiovascular care.

Family will receive friends Saturday August 23, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at 4 p.m. with Pastor Larry Jenkins officiating. Interment at the convenience of the family.
