Robert Charles "R.C." Anderson
Robert Charles (R.C.) Anderson 50, of Cameron WV died on December 13, 2024 after a 2 year battle with GIST cancer with his sisters and cousin by his side. Born on April 25, 1974 in Waynesburg PA. BELOVED SON of the late Junior Anderson and Joy Carter Anderson of Cameron WV who survives. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Cameron WV. He was a member of Pipeliners Local Union 798 in Tulsa OK. for over 20 years. Preceded in death by his father, maternal Grandparents, Dub and Thelma Carter, paternal Grandparents, Hobert and Fannie Anderson, Uncles Charles and Bob Anderson, Donald Ward, Butch Carter, Ben Herring , Dave Beresford. Aunts Rosa Mae Ward, Margelee and Carol Anderson, Marie Carter. He is survived by his Mother, sisters, Brenda (Ed) Zelich of Uniontown Pa., Teresa (Tom) Hudrlik of Valley Grove WV; Sandra (Chris) O’Neil of Pleasant Valley WV, nieces, Abby and Emily Hudrlik, Claire, Callie, Carlie O’Neil. Nephews Zeke and Luke Zelich, Cole O’Neil and Gavin Hudrlik, aunts Judy Beresford of Cameron WV. and Barbara Herring of Weirton WV. Several cousins and many friends. He graduated from Cameron High School in 1992. He graduated from West Liberty State College in 1996 with a BA degree in Criminal Justice. During his High School at CHS his Greatest Athletic achievement was being the only 4 time WVSSAC State Wrestling Champion at CHS 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992 and the only one in Marshall and Ohio County schools. He is #4 on that list of champions. He was the first wrestler from CHS to win the OVAC wrestling championship, 1990 and 1992. He won many awards and champion awards in wrestling with Jim Potts being his coach. He also achieved many awards in football with Jim Potts being his coach. He loved traveling around the US states, going to music festivals, concerts, beaches, and being with family and friends. His nickname from his friends is Peaceful Warrior as he never judged anyone but believed in Peace, Joy and Love. He will be missed by his Mama , sisters, nieces and nephews, cousin, aunts and the many, many friends he had. May his memory live on forever. Special THANKS to his care takers, Sandra O’Neil , Teresa Hudrlik, Ryan Dudas, Bruce Beresford, Kristine and Leah. Also a special THANKS to AMEDISYS and his special nurse TIA. Also to all the caring friends who was with him during this grave illness and came to visit him. Also to ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME for their Kindness and Love. A CELEBRATION of LIFE will be held on JANUARY 12,2025 from 1pm.-5 pm. At the American Legion Annex Building in Cameron WV.
