Ronald Ardale Stollar, 66, of Moundsville, WV went to be with the lord on August 12, 2025. Ronald was born April 16, 1959. Son of the late Ray A. and Phyllis E. Grimm Stollar.


A Christian by faith and a veteran of the National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandparents, Samual and Geneva Lilly Stollar; maternal grandparents, Delbert Grimm Sr. Special sister, Nila Jean Stollar.


Survived by his lifelong companion and best friend of 42 years, Cindy Lou Updegraff, grandmother, Joan Grimm, Uncle Delbert (Butch) and Sara Grimm; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ronald not only leaves behind family, but numerous friends, 4-H’ers, and fair exhibitors. He was known as "Captain Ron" and his interactions with so many kids were unsurpassed. Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool and spending time outdoors with his friends and family. Ron was a very loving and compassionate person; he would regularly grow his hair out to donate for Locks of Love. Ronnie also was a member of many organizations such as O.V. Mountain Men, Marshall Co. Hunting & Fishing Club, 4-H camp counselor (Capt. Ron) shooting sports instructor, and the Marshall County Fair Board.  Retired from DeStefano Painting of Virginia Beach, V.A. where he worked for 22 years.


Family will receive friends Friday, August 15, 2025 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm and Saturday August 16, 2025 from noon until time of services at 1pm at Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1109 Second St. Moundsville, WV,  with Pastor Tammy Harris Officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Riverview Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Moundsville Honor Guard.
