Ruth Chrislip

Ruth May Mason Callahan Chrislip, 80, of Moundsville, West Virginia died peacefully at Moundsville Health Center on August 26 surrounded by her loving eight children. Born November 29, 1942 in Glen Dale, Ruth was preceded in death by her mother Wilda Logsdon, father Orest Mason, brother Harold Mason, sister Mary Lee Bowman, brother David Mason, and grandson Jacob Sean Callahan.

She is survived by her seven children Regina (Ted) Rinehimer of Sinking Spring, PA, Tom (Gail) Callahan of Beallsville, OH, Mike Callahan (Dirlene) of Carol Stream, IL, Sean (Hayley) Callahan of St. Clairsville, OH, Doug (Teri) Callahan of Christiana, TN, Kathleen (Brad) Fox of Moundsville, WV, and Timothy (Julianna) Callahan of Moundsville, WV, and stepson Jeremy (Kim) Chrislip of Boulder, CO. Grandchildren include Leigh Anne Sobjak, Jessica Smith, Julia Callahan, Kara Callahan, Lucca Carvalho, Hannah Callahan, Marshal Callahan, Isla Urbanek, Bane Urbanek, Abby Arencibia, Madison Harrell, Sydney Callahan, Carson Callahan, Emily Fox, William Fox, Claudia Callahan, Blake Callahan, Kendra Callahan and Brodie Callahan. Great grandchildren include Peyton Sobjak, Carter Sobjak, Reagan Lucas, Zane Smith, Brantley Smith, Rhett Smith, Easton Arencibia, Amelia Arencibia, and Celine McFarland. Ruth was selfless in her efforts to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She modeled the importance of hard work to all who her knew her. Whether she was raising a family, tending a garden, or preparing a meal, Ruth enjoyed seeing the fruits of her labor. Nothing exemplified this more than the love she shared with her family.
