Sandra Hieronimus


Sandra D. Hieronimus, 80, of Cameron, WV finished the race and received her eternal reward from our Holy Father on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at home. She was born on January 5, 1944 in Cameron and was a 1962 graduate of Cameron High School. Sandy spent her life in Cameron doing the things she loved most— volunteering with children at Cameron Elementary School, operating Serendipity Arts and Crafts, and tending to her many vegetable, flower and herb gardens. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents Delbert E. and Marilyn M. (Turner) Bonar, her husband P. David Hieronimus, and her beloved Boston Terrier, Cooper. Left behind to mourn are her daughter Leighanne (Alan) Heisel, grandson Joshua and granddaughter Alysia, all of St. Louis, MO; sisters Sheila (Paul) Garrison of Louisburg, NC and Debra (Rodney) LeMasters of Norwich, OH; brother Rev. Delbert (Beverly) Bonar of Westville, OH; dear friends David and Celeste Evans, Joan Gardner, David McConaughey, Jeff Gardner and dear cousin Judy Virgin Weber; many nieces, nephews and a generation of Cameron’s first graders she taught to read. There will be no visitation or services at Sandy’s request.
