Sherwood Richmond
James Sherwood Richmond, 89, passed away Friday, June 18, 2021. He was born on April 29, 1932 son of the late Estel and Beulah Richmond. Sherwood was a moldmaker with Fostoria Glass until it’s closing. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Moundsville. Preceded in death by his wife, Jean Richmond, two sisters, Melva Aston and Evelyn Fish; and niece Gloria VanScyoc. Surviving are his children, Gary (Peggy) Richmond of Cleveland, and Vicki (Chuck) Hartley of Moundsville; five grandchildren, Jenna (Nick) Dompa, Cody (Mary)Hartley, Emily (Nathan) Cherries, Maya Constanzo, Quinn Constanzo; four great grandchildren, Nico Dompa, Auron Cherries, Nellie Jean Dompa, Lily Hartley. The family would like to thank the staff at Continuous Care Center for their kindness and care. Family will receive friends Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home 1109 2nd St. Moundsville, WV; where services will be held Wednesday, June 23, at 11 AM with Pastor Rodney Hubbs officiating. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the First Christian Church 1200 3rd St., Moundsville WV 26041.
