Sidney Lynn "Sonny" Jones

Sidney Lynn "Sonny" Jones 77, of Moundsville, WV passed away Thursday December 14, 2023.  He was born January 20, 1946 in Moundsville, WV son of the late Howard and Dorothy Leach Jones.  Sonny was a United States Navy Veteran. Retired from Consolidated Coal Company with 37 years of service. Preceded in death by his wife Freda Jones, one sister, Brenda Brutchey, and one brother, Roger Jones.  Survived by two daughters, Sandra Durrah companion, (Joe) of Proctor, WV; Wynee Meyer of Kingwood, WV; two sons, Robert Jones, David Gilbert; companion, (Christina) of Moundsville, WV one sister Patricia (Louis) VanScyoc of Proctor, WV ; four grandchildren, Billy (Alyssa) Durrah, P.J. (Justina) Durrah, Anastasia (Kyle) Allman, Timmy (Tonya) Stanley; six great-grandchildren, Addison, Kohen, Sutton, Avery, Callen, Emma and his beloved dog, Buffy.   A memorial service will be held Saturday January 6th, 2024 from 1-3 p.m. at the Roberts Ridge Volunteer Fire Dept. 23 Kansas Ridge Road Marshall County Arrangements by Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 1109 2nd St. Moundsville, WV
