Thelma (Cecil) Scherich

Thelma Lenora Scherich 86, of Moundsville, WV went to be with our Lord, Wednesday August 24, 2022. She was born August 22, 1936 in Cameron, WV daughter of the late Wylie & Nellie Gorby Cecil. She attended the First Baptist Church of Wheeling. Retired in Home Health Care. Preceded in death by one brother, Wylie Bud Cecil, sisters, Wilma Yoders, Margaret Grisby, Evelyn McElvain. Survived by her husband, Ellsworth Scherich, three daughters, Judy (Mark) Hunt and Melissa Baird all of Moundsville, WV.; Sondra (Bill) Toland of Cameron, WV: one son, Lonnie (Brenda) Scherich of Cameron, WV; one sister, Mary Ruth Williams of Cameron, WV; seven grandchildren, Angie Scherich, Anthony Scherich, Sophia Baird and Zoey Baird, KaSondra Price, Billy Toland, Jake Dougherty; great grandchildren, Alyssa Beucke, Bryce Scherich, and Ethan Price and some nieces and nephews. Thelma loved spending time visiting with her friends at McDonald's traveling and attending church. She was known for her special heart she gave to others and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Family will receive friends Sunday August 28, 2022 at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 1109 2nd St. Moundsville, WV from 4-7 p.m. where services will be held Monday August 29, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Darrin Wright officiating. Interment in Rocklick Cemetery.
