Sherrill Dobbs

Sherrill Roger Dobbs 82, of Glen Easton, WV passed away Tuesday June 28, 2022 in Reynolds Memorial Hospital. He was born January 13, 1940 in Woodruff, WV son of the late George and Dessie Blake Dobbs. Sherrill was Owner & Operator of Dobbs Construction Company. An Avid hunter and fisherman. A Veteran of the United States Army. A member of the Moundsville VFW Post #437 and American Legion Post #3. Preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, Lawrence, Carlton, Beryl, Bryon and 5 sisters, Maxine Palmer, Josephine Garrison, Patricia Smithson, Barbara Gorby and Betty Noble. Survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Ella Johns Dobbs, daughters, Sandra (Jeff) Whipkey and Jenny (John) Timmins; sons, Daniel (Julie) Dobbs and Roger (Marilou) Dobbs; sisters, Janice Kuhn and Sharon "Susie" (Charlie) Peters; 17 grandchildren and one on the way and 15 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends Thursday June 30, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 1109 2nd St. Moundsville, WV where services will be held Friday July 1, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with brother, Charlie Peters officiating. The Moundsville Veteran Honor Guard will conduct military honors. Interment in Riverview Cemetery.
